US Military begging septuagenarians to return to active duty

The U.S. Military is facing such a severe lack of staff that they're asking (they cannot yet compel) soldiers as old as seventy years of age to return to active duty and be sent to such retirement paradises as Afghanistan.Lt. "In Reason We Trust" License Plates

I just learned through the October 2004 issue of American Atheist Newsletter that South Carolina, of all places, now has "In Reason We Trust" license plates.  We need to start a movement in other states for the same kinds of plates and use South Carolina as a precedent.(Read more...)

Parents on Strike

In central Florida, two parents have gone on public strike against their ungrateful children.  The parents actually pitched a tent and sat in reclining lawn chairs in their front yard sipping drinks next to a large sign that read "PARENTS ON STRIKE" and told their kids to fend for themselves for a change.  The strike e...(Read more...)
