Ted Keer died in his sleep of natural causes on 5 March 2018.

I got this notice from his Facebook page.

Ted had one of the finest minds I've ever encountered.  His intelligence ran so deep, yet it was as quick as light... and sharp.  His classical education was impressive.  I'm so sad that he isn't with us anymore.  I regret my part in those arguments we had that grew heated, and I treasure the weeks we spent as allies fighting to stop that nasty little cabal conspiring to denigrate Ayn Rand at Wikipedia.  Ted exemplified individualism and rationality.  He was a first hand thinker.  I'd say that he will be missed, but that fact is that many of us here at RoR have been missing him for a long time now.

Ted Keer was an able scholar, an insightful researcher, and a clear thinker.  He was wrongfully placed into Dissent here. We exchanged some emails after that, but, obviously, drifted apart. I regret that.
