Victor Davis Hanson, a military historian and classical liberal has written a stunning article. He details how the progressives are attempting what, if successful, will be a take-over of our country in a new kind of coup d'état. If they succeed, that sovereignty of the individual that we exercise by democratic vote will be gone. Individualism will be replaced with collectivism. Free enterprise replaced with socialism. Honesty with lies. This is a turning point in history of such magnitude that it best described by a historian. History books would mark it down as akin to when the communists overthrew the Czar, but here it will be when the progressives were able to destroy the last few thin threads connecting us to a constitution, free enterprise and honest, civil discourse.
