In 2006, the percentage of uninsured Americans was 15.8 (47 million people), dropping, in 2007, down to 15. 3 (45.7 million), chief of the Census Bureau's Housing and Household Economic Statistics Division David Johnson stated.

Furthermore, the number of children without health insurance dropped by 600,000 to 8.1 million in 2006, he added.

Whew, that's a relief...

Maybe Mr. Scobey knew it, but that was an extremely biased article. It said nothing about cost. See this article for example.

I also visited Blue Cross MA and Blue Cross IL websites to get health insurance quotes for an individual my age, using suitable zip codes. The premium for the same plan in MA was about 2x the amount in a Chicago, IL suburb.

I have read stories that explain that the costs of the Mass Plan is skyrocketing - just as people said it would.

Recall Obama's speech though - The American people's generosity is limitless and without boundary - they will be more than happy to "donate" to such a worthy cause.

Yes, I was being sarcastic.
