I saw Jersey Boys on Broadway two years ago and loved it. It was one of the best shows I've seen in my lifetime and I highly recommend it to everyone. It has great music and a great story. Especially admiring was the handshake deal made by Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio while very young which they continue to honor even today.

I definitely plan to see JERSEY BOYS, since I love a few of the Four Seasons' records, especially "Dawn (Go Away)" and "Walk Like a Man." Especially the first, which is intriguingly complex in its melodic construction:

The only Broadway show I have ever seen is HAIRSPRAY, but even though my step-grandson is starring in it, I would not recommend it musically--I find the songs very trite and uninspired. (Even though Ashley gives a wonderful performance, and even though almost everyone else seems to like the songs in it!)

If you don't know the song, do check out "Dawn (Go Away)" in the link above. I love how this song keeps throwing new musical material at you, when you think its inventiveness has been spent, and ties it all together into a unity.

These were wonderful reviews, Samantha!

I've heard nothing but good things about "Jersey Boys."  I'll probably end up buying the CD.  Always loved Frankie Valli.

(And I hope you got the Spring Awakening tickets for free. Eew. :)

Wow, interesting. Spring Awakening sounded really worthwhile until Ms. Steven revealed which direction it went in. That's a Spoiler we can all be grateful for. That ending sounds so cynical, nihilistic, and . . . uh . . . existentialist? It sounds like something concocted by the hipster college pseudo-beatniks I've met.
